Why earn Starmind badges

Your individual contributions help keep your network successful! Badges recognize your effort and show your network your important contributions.

Starmind badges award actions that are particularly helpful to others on your network. They're also a fun way to keep track of your contributions and understand what actions are most important to your network.

How to earn badges

To see all of the badges you've earned and the ones still available to earn, click on the Contributions tab of your profile.

When you click on your notification you'll be directed to the Contributions tab of your profile. You'll see your new badge highlighted in blue.

Click on the image of your badge to learn more about why your badge is important and helpful to your network.

To learn how to earn available badges, click on a badge name and read the overlay pop-up.

FAQs

Where can I find the badges I've earned?
You'll find all of your earned badges and badges available to earn in the Contributions tab on your profile.

How will I know I've earned a new badge?
You'll get a notification informing you every time you receive a new badge. You'll also

What badges can I earn?
To learn about the badges you can earn, click on the badge and you'll see a pop-up explaining the badge and how to earn it. When you click on a badge you’ll also see if you can earn multiple badges of the same type.

There are two types of badges; one-time badges and progressive badges. One-time badges are awarded for single actions like adding a job title to your profile, while progressive badges like making comments or answering questions are progressive and can be earned continuously.

Are Starmind badges the same as the points in my profile?
No. Currently, badges and points are separate gamification features.

Can I lose badges once I've earned them?
No, once you've earned a badge, you can't lose it.

I've used Starmind for a long time now, why doesn't it show that I've earned all of the badges already?
Your past contributions to your network are important; however, with the new badge system everyone will start out with the same opportunity to earn badges.
