Ask Your Network Anonymously

Get fast, expert-backed answers, without revealing who’s asking.

If no answer exists, you can ask your network to gather knowledge that benefits everyone. Starmind automatically identifies and notifies the right experts to respond.

Why Ask on Starmind?

Employees spend a significant amount of time searching for information. Starmind reduces that by routing your question to the people who know the answer—often resulting in responses within hours. Asking on Starmind also creates reusable knowledge that others can find later.

How to Ask a Question

Click Ask in the top left navigation to open the question window. Author identity is always anonymous.

The Ask dialogue includes:

  • Question Title: Ask a short, clear question (starting with who, what, when, where, why, or how works well).
  • Similar Questions: Starmind will suggest related questions that may already have answers.
  • Description: Add details or context. You may attach files, images, links, code snippets, or emojis. Markdown is supported.
  • Topics: Topics are automatically generated from your question and help route to the right experts. You can edit or add tags.
  • Category (optional): If your network uses Categories, select one to improve routing.
  • Knowledge Spaces (optional): If your network uses Knowledge Spaces, select one to improve routing.

Anonymity

All questions are anonymous by default. Neither admins nor Starmind employees can see who asked a question. Anonymity encourages open knowledge-sharing across teams and roles.
