When should Connectors be activated?
Connectors should be enabled at the beginning of the Starmind lifecycle. They eliminate the problem of a "cold start" problem, which happens when the Starmind platform does not contain information about a new user to build an expertise profile. When connectors are enabled, Starmind's algorithm can automatically create expertise profiles for every employee, whether or not they have interacted with the Starmind platform.
What's the benefit of a connector?
While many Starmind clients have had successful rollouts without connecting any of their data sources to Starmind, doing so offers many benefits:
