✅ User Acceptance Testing
The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase ensures that the Starmind Browser Extension functions correctly in your organization’s environment, meets user needs, and integrates smoothly into daily workflows.
🎯 UAT Objectives
- Ensure the user is able to connect their Starmind account with the extension
- Confirm that expert suggestions appear as expected in supported tools
- Validate that triggers (e.g., text selection) activate the extension
- Ensure secure and stable performance across the installed Chrome or Edge version
- Collect user feedback for improvements
🧪 Test Scenarios
Test Case | Description | Expected Result |
---|---|---|
1. Extension install and login | Install extension, browse to your Starmind network and open the extension side panel. Connect it with your Starmind account. | Extension installs without error and connects to your Starmind account |
2. Search for experts or Starmind content | In the extension sidebar, enter a search query that you know will return expert profiles or similar questions from Starmind. | Search results are displayed in the side panel and will be opened in a new tab |
3. Text selection | Select a paragraph on any website and select the Starmind icon to open the side panel | Search results should automatically appear based on the paragraph you select. |
🧑💼 Recommended Test Users
- 2–3 end users with access to the Starmind network
- 1 IT/security contact for compliance checks
📝 Feedback Collection
- Use a shared document or form to collect the following from testers:
- Was the expert suggestion helpful and timely?
- Did the extension activate where expected?
- Were there any performance issues or bugs?
- Suggestions for improvement or additional triggers?
📅 Suggested UAT Timeline
- Day 1–3: Installation and functional testing across apps
- Day 4–5: Feedback review and final adjustments
✅ Go/No-Go Criteria
- All major test scenarios pass without critical bugs
- No data privacy or compliance concerns raised
- Users find the suggestions helpful and non-intrusive
Once the UAT was successful, you can proceed with the organization wide distribution.
